Lake Como is an ideal resort for the hiking and mountain bike lovers. There are many fine paths that lead up to the top of Mount Bisbino and then go on along the so-called “Via dei Monti Lariani”.

VILLA ERBA’S GARDEN
The garden of Villa Erba, sorrounding the villa and Congress Center: there are 100 thousand square meters of grass, trees, manicured hedges and lush gardens.
It’s a genuine green space of the network Grandi Giardini Italiani.
GIARDINO DELLA VALLE
A rather special green is the Green Valley along the banks of the Gavorro stream, which until thirty years ago were covered by undergrowth and waste. Today is one of the most famous destinations of the lake.
EXPLORING THE RURAL CIVILIZATION
In Rovenna start the “Sentee di Sort”, a path that leads to Moltrasio recovered thanks to the work of so many volunteers. It’s an amazing journey where you can meet evidences of ancient rural life I our territory with many buildings features.
Cà Bossi is the main junction of the first trail of Alta Via dei Monti Lariani, a route that runs for 125 Km from Cernobbio through the mountains of the western shore of the lake up to Sorico.
The first step relates the Bisbino with San Fedele Intelvi.
MAN’S CROSS AND SMUGGLER’S TRAIL
The Main’s Cross is a lovely place from where you can enjoy a beautiful view.
From here the trail winds up plunging into nature and reaches the border with Switzerland. Until the middle of the 20th century it was used by smugglers from which it takes its name.
THE ANCIENT OLZINO
It’s a location of Piazza Santo Stefano; in the middle age the small village, where was built also a convent, was crossed from a path that made it possible to reach the “Via Regina” near the Lake without take the dangerous Valley of Breggia.
